The chest is a useful storage piece with a hinged lid and decorative brass escutcheon to the front; the oak has developed an even, aged patina and shows surface wear consistent with long use.

Dimensions

Width: 110 cm

Depth: 51 cm

Height: 66 cm

Condition

Marked and scratched across the surface with general wear to edges and corners. Staff report historic wood worm damage to the top and back; small worm holes are visible on the lid and rear panels. There are chips and losses to the front edge of the lid and some old repairs to the top. Structurally the chest sits square and the panels and legs appear sound, but the piece should be considered as a worn antique suitable for restoration or continued use as found.

Delivery Information

Please note that all of our deliveries are carried out by a one-man delivery service.
