edwardian-mahogany-inlaid-corner-armchair-with-pierced-fan-splats
Edwardian Mahogany Inlaid Corner Armchair with Pierced Fan Splats

An Edwardian mahogany corner armchair, likely dating to circa 1900–1910. The chair has a curved, wraparound back with three pierced fan-shaped splats, satinwood-style inlay decoration and a shaped round seat on tapered legs joined by a turned cross-stretcher. It would suit restoration or reupholstery as a feature piece in a period interior.

Dimensions

Width: 57 cm

Depth: 55 cm

Height: 75 cm

Seat Height: 39 cm

Condition

Condition is fair. The wooden frame appears structurally sound with no obvious loose joints, and the inlay and pierced splats are intact. There is general surface wear — scratches, scuffs and some finish loss consistent with age, plus knocks to the legs and stretcher. The original upholstered seat is heavily faded, threadbare and torn in places and will require reupholstering to be returned to regular use.

Delivery Information

Please note that all of our deliveries are carried out by a one-man delivery service.
