Pieces of this size were typically used for carrying smaller quantities of milk, cream or water, either for household use or short-distance dairy transport.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe tapered upper section, rolled rim and riveted swing handle are all traditional features. The warm aged copper body is complemented by brass bands at the midsection and base, giving it a lovely contrast and authentic rural character.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis piece would now make a wonderful decorative accent in a farmhouse kitchen, country hallway or rustic interior setting.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCondition-wise, there are dents, surface marks and age-related wear throughout. The base shows oxidisation and verdigris consistent with age and use. Structurally solid with good weight and presence.
