Antique Mahogany Bedside Cabinet / Pot Cupboard – Victorian Inlaid Single Door Cupboard
Couldn't load pickup availability
A charming antique mahogany bedside cabinet or pot cupboard, dating to the late Victorian period, featuring a single door with decorative inlaid panel and original brass handle.
Crafted from solid mahogany with mahogany veneers, the cabinet has a moulded top above a framed door panel decorated with fine line inlay, a detail typical of quality Victorian bedroom furniture. The cabinet stands on a substantial plinth base, giving it a sturdy and traditional appearance.
Inside is a single internal shelf, providing useful storage space for bedside items, books or household essentials. Cabinets of this type were originally used as Victorian bedside cupboards or pot cupboards, designed to discreetly house washroom items before indoor plumbing became common.
Today, pieces like this work beautifully as bedside tables, lamp stands, hallway cupboards or small storage cabinets, fitting well in both traditional and modern interiors.
