Delivery & Collection

Most mainland UK locations are covered by our standard £65 furniture delivery service, with a reduced local delivery rate of £30 available within 15 miles of Bourne End SL8.

Some remote or harder-to-reach areas may require a different delivery charge, so please check our Delivery Information page before ordering or contact us if unsure.


Furniture deliveries are carried out by one-man couriers, so assistance will usually be required to help unload the item at delivery. Delivery is generally to the door, although some drivers may assist further at their own discretion.


We aim to deliver most furniture items within 10 working days, depending on location and courier routes.

Condition & Authenticity

We aim to describe the condition of every item as honestly and accurately as possible, with any notable wear, repairs, damage or imperfections clearly shown in both the description and photographs.


Established since 2005, we have built a strong knowledge of interiors, antiques and period furniture, allowing us to confidently identify and catalogue our pieces.

Condition

Believed 19th century Scottish oak bureau bookcase in sound, two-section construction. Numerous surface marks, scratches and scuffs to finish; edges and feet show wear. Interior writing leather heavily worn and cracked and some small internal handles broken. Splits into two sections for transport.

A Victorian Scottish oak bureau bookcase, believed to be 19th century, formed in two sections. The upper case has moulded and carved panel doors with floral tracery; the lower section incorporates a fall-front secretaire with carved detailing, small internal drawers and multiple larger drawers beneath. The piece retains a dark original finish and displays the surface wear expected of a working antique.

Condition

Structurally sound and splits into two sections for transport. There are numerous surface marks, scratches and general wear to the finish, particularly to edges and drawer fronts. The interior writing leather is very worn and cracked and several small internal bureau handles have broken (some remains in situ). Small scuffs and minor losses to mouldings and feet are present consistent with age and use.
