Delivery & Collection

Most mainland UK locations are covered by our standard £65 furniture delivery service, with a reduced local delivery rate of £30 available within 15 miles of Bourne End SL8.

Some remote or harder-to-reach areas may require a different delivery charge, so please check our Delivery Information page before ordering or contact us if unsure.


Furniture deliveries are carried out by one-man couriers, so assistance will usually be required to help unload the item at delivery. Delivery is generally to the door, although some drivers may assist further at their own discretion.


We aim to deliver most furniture items within 10 working days, depending on location and courier routes.

Condition & Authenticity

We aim to describe the condition of every item as honestly and accurately as possible, with any notable wear, repairs, damage or imperfections clearly shown in both the description and photographs.


Established since 2005, we have built a strong knowledge of interiors, antiques and period furniture, allowing us to confidently identify and catalogue our pieces.

Description

This impressive early 20th-century piece boasts a sophisticated Continental silhouette. The upper section features a large mirrored gallery back, topped with a stepped cornice and ornate carved swags and ribbons. The main body is fitted with a stunning red "Rouge" marble surface, providing a durable and luxurious display area.

The storage is well-organized with two frieze drawers over a double-door cupboard, all embellished with ornate classical moldings, wreaths, and gold-leaf style highlights. Uniquely, the unit is elevated on turned supports with a full-width open lower tier, giving it an airy feel despite its substantial size. This is a high-impact piece of furniture that blends historic character with a contemporary color palette.

Condition

The sideboard is in good refurbished condition with specific points to note:

  • Surface: There is a full-width historic crack to the rouge marble top (see detail photos). The marble remains stable and seated flat within the frame.

  • Finish: Recently repainted in a matte claret/burgundy finish with gold-toned accents. The finish is generally clean but shows minor intentional "shabby chic" distressing and light scuffs from handling.

  • Glass: The mirror is intact and clear, showing only minor age-related foxing to the edges.

  • Build: Structurally very sound and heavy. All drawers and doors operate smoothly.
