Most mainland UK locations are covered by our standard £65 furniture delivery service, with a reduced local delivery rate of £30 available within 15 miles of Bourne End SL8.

Some remote or harder-to-reach areas may require a different delivery charge, so please check our Delivery Information page before ordering or contact us if unsure.

Furniture deliveries are carried out by one-man couriers, so assistance will usually be required to help unload the item at delivery. Delivery is generally to the door, although some drivers may assist further at their own discretion.

We aim to deliver most furniture items within 10 working days, depending on location and courier routes.

We aim to describe the condition of every item as honestly and accurately as possible, with any notable wear, repairs, damage or imperfections clearly shown in both the description and photographs.

Established since 2005, we have built a strong knowledge of interiors, antiques and period furniture, allowing us to confidently identify and catalogue our pieces.

Description

This is a classic George III bow-front chest of drawers made from mahogany. It has a nice, curved shape that’s a bit more stylish than a standard flat chest. It’s a "two-over-three" design, meaning you get two smaller drawers at the top for socks or smaller items, and three full-width drawers below for plenty of storage.

The wood has a deep, warm color and a nice natural grain. It’s finished with brass ring handles and sits on splayed bracket feet. It’s a solid, practical piece of furniture that would look great in a bedroom or a hallway while adding some genuine vintage character to the room.

Condition

This chest has been around for a long time and definitely has the look of a well-used antique.

Wear & Tear: There are various marks, scuffs, and scratches on the top and drawer fronts from years of use.
Repairs: One of the legs has been repaired or replaced in the past—it’s solid now and does the job, but you can see the join if you look closely (see photos).
Overall: It’s a sturdy, functional piece with plenty of "patina" (age-related wear) that shows its history.
