Delivery & Collection

Most mainland UK locations are covered by our standard £65 furniture delivery service, with a reduced local delivery rate of £30 available within 15 miles of Bourne End SL8.

Some remote or harder-to-reach areas may require a different delivery charge, so please check our Delivery Information page before ordering or contact us if unsure.


Furniture deliveries are carried out by one-man couriers, so assistance will usually be required to help unload the item at delivery. Delivery is generally to the door, although some drivers may assist further at their own discretion.


We aim to deliver most furniture items within 10 working days, depending on location and courier routes.

Condition & Authenticity

We aim to describe the condition of every item as honestly and accurately as possible, with any notable wear, repairs, damage or imperfections clearly shown in both the description and photographs.


Established since 2005, we have built a strong knowledge of interiors, antiques and period furniture, allowing us to confidently identify and catalogue our pieces.

Description

A genuine piece of late Victorian or Edwardian glass, this bottle is cast in a light aqua-green glass with an embossed oval crest. The lettering clearly reads "MARLOW MINERAL WATER CO." around the top and "MARLOW" at the base.

The "Hamilton" design features a pointed or rounded base which meant it could not stand upright, a functional necessity for carbonated drinks of the era. This bottle features a "blob top" rim and shows beautiful natural seeds (tiny air bubbles) and characteristic waviness within the glass, confirming its age and traditional manufacturing process. It is a fantastic find for bottle collectors or as a decorative piece of local Buckinghamshire history.

Condition

The bottle is in good antique condition:

  • Surface: The glass is generally clear but shows some internal clouding/residue and light surface "iridescence" from being buried (historic bottle digging find).

  • Detail: The embossed lettering is crisp and very legible.

  • Build: Free from major cracks. There are minor historic surface scratches and tiny "flea bite" nicks consistent with age and burial.

  • Rim: The blob top is intact and smooth.
