Antique Oak Caned Stool with Barley Twist Stretcher – Edwardian Dressing Table Bench
Couldn't load pickup availability
A handsome antique oak caned stool, dating to the late Victorian / Edwardian period, featuring a serpentine shaped seat with decorative scroll-carved ends and a central barley twist stretcher.
The gently curved seat frame is inset with traditional hand-woven cane, while the base stands on turned and block legs united by a beautifully carved barley twist front stretcher. The rich oak grain and warm patina give this piece strong period character, making it ideal as a dressing table stool, hallway bench, piano stool or occasional seat.
The decorative scroll ends and solid construction reflect classic English craftsmanship of the early 20th century.
