Delivery & Collection

Most mainland UK locations are covered by our standard £65 furniture delivery service, with a reduced local delivery rate of £30 available within 15 miles of Bourne End SL8.

Some remote or harder-to-reach areas may require a different delivery charge, so please check our Delivery Information page before ordering or contact us if unsure.


Furniture deliveries are carried out by one-man couriers, so assistance will usually be required to help unload the item at delivery. Delivery is generally to the door, although some drivers may assist further at their own discretion.


We aim to deliver most furniture items within 10 working days, depending on location and courier routes.

Condition & Authenticity

We aim to describe the condition of every item as honestly and accurately as possible, with any notable wear, repairs, damage or imperfections clearly shown in both the description and photographs.


Established since 2005, we have built a strong knowledge of interiors, antiques and period furniture, allowing us to confidently identify and catalogue our pieces.

Description

This complete set of vintage stencils is crafted from exceptionally thin, flexible brass sheets. The letters are cut in a classic, decorative serif font with ornate flourishes, typical of the Victorian or Edwardian eras.

The set is divided into several strips, each containing a sequence of letters (A-F, G-L, M-R, S-X, and Y-Z-&). These would have been essential tools for merchants, laundresses, or craftsmen for uniform labeling. Today, they make wonderful decorative objects for a studio or office, or can still be used for creative papercraft and mixed-media art projects.

Condition

The stencils are in authentic antique condition with significant age-related character:

  • Surface: The brass has a heavy, multi-toned patina ranging from dark chocolate brown to bright gold, with visible spots of verdigris (green oxidation) particularly on the final strip (see detail photos).

  • Material: The brass is very thin and pliable, resulting in various historic crinkles, creases, and uneven edges from decades of handling.

  • Detail: All letters remain clear and the cut-outs are sharp, making them still functionally viable.
