Delivery & Collection

Most mainland UK locations are covered by our standard £65 furniture delivery service, with a reduced local delivery rate of £30 available within 15 miles of Bourne End SL8.

Some remote or harder-to-reach areas may require a different delivery charge, so please check our Delivery Information page before ordering or contact us if unsure.


Furniture deliveries are carried out by one-man couriers, so assistance will usually be required to help unload the item at delivery. Delivery is generally to the door, although some drivers may assist further at their own discretion.


We aim to deliver most furniture items within 10 working days, depending on location and courier routes.

Condition & Authenticity

We aim to describe the condition of every item as honestly and accurately as possible, with any notable wear, repairs, damage or imperfections clearly shown in both the description and photographs.


Established since 2005, we have built a strong knowledge of interiors, antiques and period furniture, allowing us to confidently identify and catalogue our pieces.

Description

This is an imposing Victorian oak sideboard, a grand example of "Old English" style cabinetry. Constructed from solid oak, it features a heavy "breakfront" design with a stepped central cupboard and deeply carved panels depicting urns, scrolls, and foliate motifs.

This piece offers vast storage with four drawers and multiple cupboard compartments, all fitted with original, ornate brass drop handles. While it carries the signs of a long life, it remains a structurally massive and high-quality item. With its intricate hand-carved detailing and architectural silhouette, it serves as a fantastic statement piece for a traditional home or a rewarding restoration project for someone looking to revive its original luster

Condition

The sideboard is in fair antique condition and is sold as seen with visible historic wear:

  • Surface: The top is visibly marked and scratched with finish wear and historic staining throughout (see detail photos).

  • Cupboards: There are water marks and discoloration to the wood on some of the cupboard door fronts.

  • Hardware: All original decorative brass handles are present and secure.

  • Mechanical: The drawers are solid and functional; the cupboard hinges are secure.

  • Build: The unit is exceptionally heavy, stable, and structurally sound.
