Delivery & Collection

Most mainland UK locations are covered by our standard £65 furniture delivery service, with a reduced local delivery rate of £30 available within 15 miles of Bourne End SL8.

Some remote or harder-to-reach areas may require a different delivery charge, so please check our Delivery Information page before ordering or contact us if unsure.


Furniture deliveries are carried out by one-man couriers, so assistance will usually be required to help unload the item at delivery. Delivery is generally to the door, although some drivers may assist further at their own discretion.


We aim to deliver most furniture items within 10 working days, depending on location and courier routes.


Collection is also welcome from our Bourne End showroom:

Condition & Authenticity

We aim to describe the condition of every item as honestly and accurately as possible, with any notable wear, repairs, damage or imperfections clearly shown in both the description and photographs.


Established since 2005, we have built a strong knowledge of interiors, antiques and period furniture, allowing us to confidently identify and catalogue our pieces.

Condition

The table is in fair-to-good used vintage condition, showing various cosmetic marks from previous use (please review all detail photos):

  • Surface & Edges: There are multiple scuffs, scratches, and prominent finish chips along the sharp edges of the top molding and corners, exposing the lighter raw timber underneath (see detail photos).
  • The Top: The top surface retains a nice luster but displays various historic surface scratches and light ring marks.
  • Drawer & Hardware: The single functional drawer operates perfectly and is clean internally. The original brass handles are present and secure.
  • Build: Structurally solid, heavy, and exceptionally stable with no loose joints.

Description

A handsome and robust lamp or bedside table crafted by the historic American makers Lane Furniture. Designed in the timeless 18th-century Chippendale style, it features a beautifully figured parquetry top with a crossbanded border.

The front showcases a deceptive design where a single deep drawer is disguised as two shallow drawers, complete with antique-style brass swan-neck handles and decorative escutcheons. The drawer features sturdy dovetail construction and opens smoothly. Elevated by square-section legs with vertical reeding, the table is further detailed with an intricate, geometric Chinese Chippendale-style pierced fretwork apron on the front and sides.

Condition

The table is in fair-to-good used vintage condition, showing various cosmetic marks from previous use (please review all detail photos):
