Delivery & Collection

Most mainland UK locations are covered by our standard £65 furniture delivery service, with a reduced local delivery rate of £30 available within 15 miles of Bourne End SL8.

Some remote or harder-to-reach areas may require a different delivery charge, so please check our Delivery Information page before ordering or contact us if unsure.


Furniture deliveries are carried out by one-man couriers, so assistance will usually be required to help unload the item at delivery. Delivery is generally to the door, although some drivers may assist further at their own discretion.


We aim to deliver most furniture items within 10 working days, depending on location and courier routes.

Condition & Authenticity

We aim to describe the condition of every item as honestly and accurately as possible, with any notable wear, repairs, damage or imperfections clearly shown in both the description and photographs.


Established since 2005, we have built a strong knowledge of interiors, antiques and period furniture, allowing us to confidently identify and catalogue our pieces.

Description

Constructed from solid pine with a deep, aged patina, this table is a true testament to functional country living. It features a wide-plank top with breadboard ends, supported by a sturdy frame with tapered legs. The design includes a traditional H-frame stretcher base, which provides exceptional structural stability.

The table is equipped with two frieze drawers, perfect for storing cutlery or linens. The mismatched handles and visible historic repairs only add to its authentic, "as-found" charm. This is a heavy-duty, practical piece for those who appreciate the beauty of weathered, historic wood and a life well-lived.

Condition

The table is in distressed rustic condition and is sold with extensive character wear:

  • Surface: The tabletop is heavily weathered with numerous knocks, dents, historic scratches, and staining consistent with heavy use over many decades.

  • Hardware: The drawer handles are mismatched; one is a different size and style than the other.

  • Structure: There are visible historic repairs, including some reinforcement where screws are visible to the frame and around the drawer fronts (see detail photos).

  • Base: The H-frame stretchers show significant wear and smoothing to the wood from centuries of feet resting upon them.

  • Build: Despite the cosmetic distress, the table remains structurally massive, heavy, and very stable.
