Delivery & Collection

Most mainland UK locations are covered by our standard £65 furniture delivery service, with a reduced local delivery rate of £30 available within 15 miles of Bourne End SL8.

Some remote or harder-to-reach areas may require a different delivery charge, so please check our Delivery Information page before ordering or contact us if unsure.


Furniture deliveries are carried out by one-man couriers, so assistance will usually be required to help unload the item at delivery. Delivery is generally to the door, although some drivers may assist further at their own discretion.


We aim to deliver most furniture items within 10 working days, depending on location and courier routes.

Condition & Authenticity

We aim to describe the condition of every item as honestly and accurately as possible, with any notable wear, repairs, damage or imperfections clearly shown in both the description and photographs.


Established since 2005, we have built a strong knowledge of interiors, antiques and period furniture, allowing us to confidently identify and catalogue our pieces.

Description

This compact companion set is designed for both style and utility. Crafted with a polished brass finish, the set features a sturdy weighted base and a tiered stand that holds three essential tools:

  • Tongs: Designed with claw-grip ends for safely maneuvering logs or coal.

  • Hearth Brush: Features thick, stiff bristles for sweeping ash and debris.

  • Poker: A solid rod with a pointed tip for stoking and tending to the fire.

The tools are finished with classic turned "ball" handles that provide a comfortable grip while maintaining a timeless aesthetic. Its 41cm height makes it a versatile choice for smaller fireplaces or modern wood-burning stoves where space is at a premium.

Condition

The set is in good used condition with signs of functional wear:

  • Finish: The brass shows a natural aged patina with some surface tarnishing, historic pitting, and minor verdigris (green oxidation) to the base (see detail photos).

  • Tools: The poker and tongs show blackening and soot marks to the ends from active use in a fire.

  • Brush: The bristles are intact and firm, though the metal casing shows some wear to the finish.

  • Build: The stand is stable, and all tools hang securely in their designated slots.
