Delivery & Collection

Most mainland UK locations are covered by our standard £65 furniture delivery service, with a reduced local delivery rate of £30 available within 15 miles of Bourne End SL8.

Some remote or harder-to-reach areas may require a different delivery charge, so please check our Delivery Information page before ordering or contact us if unsure.


Furniture deliveries are carried out by one-man couriers, so assistance will usually be required to help unload the item at delivery. Delivery is generally to the door, although some drivers may assist further at their own discretion.


We aim to deliver most furniture items within 10 working days, depending on location and courier routes.


Collection is also welcome from our Bourne End showroom:

Condition & Authenticity

We aim to describe the condition of every item as honestly and accurately as possible, with any notable wear, repairs, damage or imperfections clearly shown in both the description and photographs.


Established since 2005, we have built a strong knowledge of interiors, antiques and period furniture, allowing us to confidently identify and catalogue our pieces.

Condition

The plaques are in fair-to-good weathered vintage condition, showing honest signs of age and long-term garden placement (please review all detail photos):

  • Missing Elements: Please note that the original inset glass or ceramic eyes are currently missing from both lion heads, leaving open sockets. They can be left as-is for a rustic, ruin-like look or easily replaced.
  • Surface Wear & Chips: There are typical minor chips and abrasions to the stone throughout, including a noticeable historic chip to the top mane of one mask (see detail photo).
  • Reverse Side: The flat backs show a rugged, uneven texture with historic mortar/adhesive residue from previous wall mounting, alongside a central hole connecting to the mouth for plumbing access.
  • Patina: Widespread natural moss and lichen growth are present across both pieces, entirely typical and highly desirable for vintage garden statuary.

Description

A handsome pair of classical lion mask plaques, ideal for wall mounting or integrating into a water fountain installation. Crafted from a high-quality reconstituted stone mix, each plaque features a deeply molded mane, snarling mouth, and a hollow core with an opening through the mouth specifically designed to accommodate water pipes or spouts.

The pieces have weathered beautifully over a long period outdoors, developing a rich, multi-toned patina of green moss, grey lichen, and natural organic shadowing. Their classic architectural styling makes them perfect for adding a touch of country house grandeur to a garden wall, patio area, or water feature basin.
