Delivery & Collection

Most mainland UK locations are covered by our standard £65 furniture delivery service, with a reduced local delivery rate of £30 available within 15 miles of Bourne End SL8.

Some remote or harder-to-reach areas may require a different delivery charge, so please check our Delivery Information page before ordering or contact us if unsure.


Furniture deliveries are carried out by one-man couriers, so assistance will usually be required to help unload the item at delivery. Delivery is generally to the door, although some drivers may assist further at their own discretion.


We aim to deliver most furniture items within 10 working days, depending on location and courier routes.


Collection is also welcome from our Bourne End showroom:

Condition & Authenticity

We aim to describe the condition of every item as honestly and accurately as possible, with any notable wear, repairs, damage or imperfections clearly shown in both the description and photographs.


Established since 2005, we have built a strong knowledge of interiors, antiques and period furniture, allowing us to confidently identify and catalogue our pieces.

Condition

The unit is in good used condition, possessing a wonderful rustic character:

  • Finish: The cream painted finish is intentionally distressed and rubbed back to expose the warm pine underneath along the moldings, drawer edges, and corners (see detail photos). There are a few additional minor historic marks and scuffs from domestic use that blend seamlessly into the style.
  • Drawer & Cupboard: The single drawer features strong joinery, is clean internally, and operates smoothly. The lower cupboard door aligns well and functions perfectly.
  • Build: Structurally very sound, stable, and level.

Description

A classic piece of rustic country-style furniture, crafted from solid pine and finished in a soft, chalky cream paint. The upper section features an open bookcase design with an arched top rail, tongue-and-groove planked backing, and two fixed shelves, providing three spacious compartments for displaying books, kitchenware, or collectibles.

The lower section offers additional hidden storage, consisting of a single smooth-sliding drawer over a cupboard doors with a raised panel. The unit is fitted with turned wooden knobs throughout, a molded architectural cornice, and a decorative shaped apron base. The painted finish has been intentionally rubbed back on the high-contact edges, giving it an authentic, gently weathered "shabby chic" appearance.
