Delivery & Collection

Most mainland UK locations are covered by our standard £65 furniture delivery service, with a reduced local delivery rate of £30 available within 15 miles of Bourne End SL8.

Some remote or harder-to-reach areas may require a different delivery charge, so please check our Delivery Information page before ordering or contact us if unsure.


Furniture deliveries are carried out by one-man couriers, so assistance will usually be required to help unload the item at delivery. Delivery is generally to the door, although some drivers may assist further at their own discretion.


We aim to deliver most furniture items within 10 working days, depending on location and courier routes.


Collection is also welcome from our Bourne End showroom:

Condition & Authenticity

We aim to describe the condition of every item as honestly and accurately as possible, with any notable wear, repairs, damage or imperfections clearly shown in both the description and photographs.


Established since 2005, we have built a strong knowledge of interiors, antiques and period furniture, allowing us to confidently identify and catalogue our pieces.

Condition

The bookcase is in used vintage condition, exhibiting an authentic, rustic appearance with multiple signs of age and previous use:

  • The solid pine woodwork shows prominent marks, deep scratches, scuffs, and small indentations across the surfaces of the shelves and external panels.
  • There are multiple areas of white paint splatters, historic marks, and localized surface wear, particularly around the outer edges of the lower plinth base and side frame.
  • The shelves are structurally solid, fixed securely, and remain robust enough to support a substantial collection of books without sagging.
  • The entire unit is well-constructed, stable, and stands level against the wall.

Description

A classic country-style narrow open bookcase crafted from solid pine with a warm, natural finish. The unit features four fixed open shelves providing five spacious compartments for books, storage baskets, or decorative displays.

Designed with traditional architectural elements, it boasts a prominent stepped top cornice, elegantly fluted vertical side pilasters, and a solid plinth base. A tongue-and-groove planked wooden back completes the piece, making it an exceptionally sturdy storage solution that maximizes vertical space in tight hallway alcoves or smaller rooms.
