Delivery & Collection

Most mainland UK locations are covered by our standard £65 furniture delivery service, with a reduced local delivery rate of £30 available within 15 miles of Bourne End SL8.

Some remote or harder-to-reach areas may require a different delivery charge, so please check our Delivery Information page before ordering or contact us if unsure.


Furniture deliveries are carried out by one-man couriers, so assistance will usually be required to help unload the item at delivery. Delivery is generally to the door, although some drivers may assist further at their own discretion.


We aim to deliver most furniture items within 10 working days, depending on location and courier routes.


Collection is also welcome from our Bourne End showroom:

Condition & Authenticity

We aim to describe the condition of every item as honestly and accurately as possible, with any notable wear, repairs, damage or imperfections clearly shown in both the description and photographs.


Established since 2005, we have built a strong knowledge of interiors, antiques and period furniture, allowing us to confidently identify and catalogue our pieces.

Description

This is a substantial and imposing piece of rustic furniture, crafted from solid pine with a warm, honey-toned finish. It features seven fixed shelves, providing extensive storage space for a large book collection or decorative displays.

The design is classically understated, with a traditional molded cornice and an elegant arched "scalloped" detail to the top rail. The back is finished with attractive tongue-and-groove "V-joint" paneling, which adds to its sturdy, high-quality feel. Its shallow footprint allows it to provide maximum storage while remaining flush against a wall, making it a functional yet decorative addition to any home office, library, or living space.

Condition

The bookcase is in good used condition and is structurally massive:

  • Finish: The pine has a lovely natural patina. There are minor scuffs, light surface scratches, and small dings throughout, consistent with its age and use.

  • Shelving: The shelves are firm and clean, though there are some historic marks from book placement over time.

  • Build: The unit is exceptionally tall and heavy. It remains structurally very sound and stable.

  • Safety Note: Due to the extreme height and shallow depth of this piece, we strongly recommend that it is secured to a wall once in position.
