Delivery & Collection

Most mainland UK locations are covered by our standard £65 furniture delivery service, with a reduced local delivery rate of £30 available within 15 miles of Bourne End SL8.

Some remote or harder-to-reach areas may require a different delivery charge, so please check our Delivery Information page before ordering or contact us if unsure.


Furniture deliveries are carried out by one-man couriers, so assistance will usually be required to help unload the item at delivery. Delivery is generally to the door, although some drivers may assist further at their own discretion.


We aim to deliver most furniture items within 10 working days, depending on location and courier routes.


Collection is also welcome from our Bourne End showroom:

Condition & Authenticity

We aim to describe the condition of every item as honestly and accurately as possible, with any notable wear, repairs, damage or imperfections clearly shown in both the description and photographs.


Established since 2005, we have built a strong knowledge of interiors, antiques and period furniture, allowing us to confidently identify and catalogue our pieces.

Condition

The chair is in fair vintage condition and is sold as a minor restoration project due to a structural split in the lower support:

  • The Frame: The lower bentwood leg-stretcher ring is cracked/split through near the front leg (see detail photo). While the chair still stands, this ring needs to be glued and clamped to restore full structural integrity before regular daily use.
  • Surface: The dark finish shows honest signs of age and wear, including various light surface scratches, small paint flecks, and localized scuffs to the stain on the top curved rail and armrests.
  • Seat: The circular panel seat remains solid and securely attached, showing a lovely aged patina.

Description

An elegant and characterful vintage bentwood armchair, finished in a deep dark walnut stain. The chair features the classic steam-bent continuous loop that forms the backrest and structural arms, paired with a circular paneled seat that beautifully showcases the wood grain.

Supported by slender tapered legs and reinforced by a curved under-seat stretcher ring, this chair perfectly embodies the minimalist, utilitarian aesthetic of mid-century European cafe culture. It is an ideal addition to a dining table, desk, or conservatory nook.
