A stylish vintage mid-century Lubis Easy Chair, produced by Lubis Furniture and featuring the distinctive double-bow spindle back design closely associated with British mid-century Windsor style seating.

Often compared to Ercol’s Model 478 Windsor armchair, Lubis chairs share many of the same design principles including solid elm seat construction, slender turned spindles and elegant curved bow back rails. However, Lubis pieces are distinct vintage chairs in their own right, produced during the mid-century period and appreciated today for their quality craftsmanship and classic British design.

This example features the characteristic double bow top rail with multiple turned spindles, shaped arm supports and a comfortable seat fitted with a removable upholstered cushion. The chair stands on tapered splayed legs with stretcher supports, giving it the light yet sturdy construction typical of mid-century Windsor inspired furniture.
