This is an impressive and heavy-duty oak sideboard by the renowned English makers, Webber Furniture. Built to last, it features a four-door cupboard base and three spacious drawers at the top. The design is heavily influenced by traditional Tudor and Elizabethan styles, showcased through the decorative linen-fold carvings and "Gothic" arched door panels.
The sideboard is finished with high-quality black iron "butterfly" hinges and matching ring-pull handles. Inside, the drawers are built with traditional dovetail joints, a hallmark of Webber’s quality craftsmanship. Condition
This sideboard is in excellent vintage condition. There are marks and scratches throughout, as expected with an item of this age.
Surface: The oak top is clean with a nice, even finish and very minimal wear for its age.
Mechanical: All doors open smoothly, and the drawers pull easily. The original magnetic catches and wooden latches are all present and working.
Finish: The medium oak stain is consistent across the piece, and the Webber Furniture "Squirrel" maker's mark is still present inside the drawer.
